Not every Vegas trip is about the casino floor. Las Vegas sits next to Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead and the Spring Mountains, and organizers run road, trail and multisport events here from fall through spring. This site gathers the races we can confirm from the organizers themselves: dates, distances, start areas and start times where they've been published. Each listing links to the organizer, so check the details there before you register or book travel.

In our current calendar: the Las Vegas Marathon (Jan 10, 2027), which starts and finishes at the STRAT, and Rock ’n’ Roll Las Vegas (Feb 20–21, 2027), whose 10K and half marathon start at 4:30 PM on Sunday. Check each organizer for the course.
Can I run a race inside Red Rock Canyon?
Yes. Calico Racing’s Red Rock Canyon Marathon, Half and 5K (Jan 23, 2027) runs on the 13-mile Scenic Drive, and Desert Dash runs the Red Rock Canyon 100K and 50K trail race (Nov 14, 2026).
Is REVEL Mt Charleston happening in 2027?
No. REVEL’s registration page says the 2027 race (April 3) is canceled. We keep it on the calendar, marked canceled, so nobody books travel for it.
When is it too hot to race?
We don’t set a cutoff, and organizers schedule around the heat. For context, NOAA’s 1991–2020 normals put July’s normal high at the airport at 104.5°F.
